The latest update of Flood Platform, shaped by valuable client feedback, is packed with powerful new features to elevate your experience in model management, cloud simulation, and model review & analysis. Here’s what’s new:
Threaded Comments, Tracked Spatially & Temporally
Flood Platform introduces threaded comments for modellers and reviewers, making it easier than ever for teams to collaborate, clarify, and share insights on model outputs. Anyone with project access can join the conversation and add comments that are easily tagged to specific locations and points in time.
Contributor details - such as name and profile photo - appear with each comment, providing valuable context and making it simple for others to reply and add information. All comments and replies are securely stored alongside simulation results, creating a complete communication log for every run.
For more details, check out: Commenting on models and results.
Compare Results From Multiple Simulations
Until now, viewing just one simulation result at a time was the limit. With the latest updates, users can now explore and compare outputs from multiple simulations simultaneously. This powerful new capability lets you quickly assess changes in flood extents for proposed developments, pinpoint the best model parameters or cell sizes, and confidently evaluate potential climate change impacts.

Easily Select All Simulations to Send to the Run Queue
Handling hundreds or even thousands of simulations is now easier than ever. With Flood Platform’s new Select All option, you can add every simulation to the processing queue in just a few clicks. Once submitted, all required hardware and licensing resources are allocated automatically, streamlining large‑scale simulation management.

Support For Reports and Other Non-Model Files
Flood Platform’s model management now goes beyond models, supporting raw input data, PDF reports, and model logs, all saved within the model file structure. This means everything you need is securely stored in one place, creating a single, reliable source of truth and reducing the risk of data loss. Plus, PDF reports can be viewed directly in your browser, eliminating the need to download or duplicate files.

You’ll also find support for TUFLOW models using GeoPackage, an improved model processor, enhanced reporting of upload and processing errors, and a handy search feature to quickly find individual projects or Teamspaces by name.
Stay tuned for more exciting new features and capabilities coming very soon!
